Beau Barterian is a Principal of Union Main Group, where he is focused on platform development in the essential services industry.
Beau identifies and builds partnerships with strong, well-run operators in essential industries, giving Union Main the runway to invest patiently and hold for the long-term. His approach centers on finding management teams who want a true partner, not just a buyer, and structuring those partnerships around shared success so that founders and their teams build lasting value alongside Union Main.
Before joining Union Main, Beau spent his career helping founders and management teams navigate formative transactions, including company sales, acquisitions, and financings across a broad range of essential industries. Most recently a Vice President at Piper Sandler, with earlier roles at TD Cowen and Goldman Sachs, he built a deep understanding of how the best-run businesses operate, what makes them valuable, and what a strong partnership looks like.
A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Beau lives in Rochester, Michigan, with his wife and three children. In addition to his role at Union Main, Beau coaches the local youth football team and is a dedicated endurance athlete.
